Pastor A.J. Johnson of Doers of the Word Church and David Lackey of Operation Save America Birmingham welcomed approximately 200 Christians from across the nation to the city Saturday night. Participants, many of whom are veterans from past years of “Rescue” campaigns, met to sing praises, celebrate the Lord’s goodness and seek His power and direction as they prepared to lay siege to the city in the name of Jesus.
The Reverend Flip Benham, Operation Save America’s national director, spoke to the group about the spiritual status of the nation.
“God has been removed from America,” he said, “and when God is removed violence always comes in. We have blood in the streets and blood in the womb.”
He introduced Ante Pavkovic, describing how Ante, his wife Kathy and their daughter Christan Sugar were arrested for quoting Scripture and praying in Jesus’ name in opposition to a Hindu cleric opening the U.S. Senate with prayer, Flip said this was not the first time God had sent the Church to the state, The prophet Nathan (the Church) was sent to confront and rebuke King David (the state) for his sin.
Ante told the audience what a tremendous privilege it had been to serve - to stand in the gap. “The government has betrayed the covenant of God,” he said. “The senate is in rebellion to God. Every day we do things to challenge God.”
“I just pray that the anger of God was turned away (by the Pavkovic’s actions),” he added.

I am sorry to see the corruption of the Christian faith that occurs inevitably by a certain group of people. Religions are always mutated to blind people to the evils of what they are doing: this is what OSA has done. While I am not Christian, I agree wholeheartedly with much of what he said. Christ preached love; you preach hate. You hate all those who are not the same, for you fear that inside you, perhaps there is some of that. You hate Muslims, while the Qu'ran specifically states that Jews and Christians are to be respected and not to be dicriminated against. You protest against the ridiculous fatwahs issued by some Muslims, as do I, yet what distinguishes your actions from theirs? What can you say in defense of yourselves, after you publicly humiliate a man you have never met? You claim that when God is gone, violence comes. That is not true. It is men and women like you that bring violence. You claim you are doing what you do for America, even though Amrica ws founded upon the separation of church and state. Your religion should not have supremacy, for then the government is replaced by the church. You hate, though Jesus asked you to love. I imlore you to read your Bible before you continue to destroy the fabric of the nation we all hold dear.
You say you are not a Chrisitan but agree with much of what Christ said. Do you know what He said? Have you read the Bible or just a commentary on the Bible?
You ask what distinguishes our actions from terrorists. I hope you are being facetious. You can not honestly think humiliation is the same as thousands dead. I ask you to read the Qu'ran not a report of it. I have read it! You are wrong! The section you misquote refers to Christian who are SLAVES!
Our nation was founded on Christian principles not the recent myth of separation. 42 of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independance were members of established Christian denominations.
It is the above mentioned principles that make it possible for people to practice their religion without being beaten or murdered. Christian missionaries, pastors, priests and laymen have been beated and murdered in India by Hindu's. The Hindu man, who admitedly, we do not know, may have been humiliated, but he was not beaten or killed for being different. The principles of the Bible made that possible and Christ said, "If you love me keep my commandments." One commandment states, "I am the Lord your God, You shall have no other gods before me."
We are a Christian nation founded on Christian principles and these principles are the foundation of our liberty. Remove God from America and there will be no liberty. Remove His law and there will be nothing to restrain the violence.
You say we hate when we bring the truth, but then, truth is hate to those who hate the truth.
