Birmingham Police Trample on First Amendment Rights

Press Release
For Immediate Release

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
1st Amendment – U.S. Constitution (emphasis added)

At New Woman All Woman Abortion Clinic on July 20, 2007, Rev. Flip Benham was arrested allegedly for disorderly conduct. That conduct was reading from the Bible. When the police first approached Rev. Benham, they wanted to see the assembly and noise permits that OSA had been granted for that day. When it was determined OSA did have lawful permits, the police said we could only use the microphone to give direction to our people. Rev. Benham said he was giving direction by reading the Bible. He was then arrested.

This is a clear case of squashing of 1st. amendment rights. The Bible, God’s Word is direction and instruction to those who walk in the light of Jesus Christ, but a stumbling block to those who delight in the evil deeds of darkness. The police were clearly following the direction of those who would kill innocent little boys and girls, rather than following God’s direction, from His Word.

It's clear this blood-stained land is confused and demands divine restraint when Bible-readers are arrested and taken to jail and those who butcher babies remain free to continue their grisly work of mass murder.

Although I'm not religious, I beleive in the 1st Admendment. I ask all to watch this movie and make there own determination about our government. I do not wish to discourage anyone from their religion. And please pass this on tho others. It is something to think about, especially about our government. ^5 rev.

"It's clear that God wasn't on Flip's side. Maybe God was giving him directions to a place that's right for him- JAIL!" -- No, it isn't clear that God wasn't on Flip's side.

For the record, God roundly condemns the shedding of innocent blood, in both testaments of His word, as does Flip. Much of the New Testament was penned in a jail, and many people have been jailed throughout the history of the church for their faith, particularly Jewish and/or Christian faith, by people clearly OPPOSED TO GOD. I doubt that Flip is perfect-none of us is except G-d-- but there is no biblical evidence to support your claim that God is opposed to the activity for which Flip was jailed, namely, the public preaching of the Gospel of Christ.

Check out the sermon on the mount. Christ clearly stated that those who are persecuted (jail is a form of persecution) for sake of righteousness are blessed...as are the merciful, and other attitudes Flip was demonstrating at the time of his arrest.

Despite the moral failings ascribed to Martin Luther King, Jr., no humane person of conscience would dare to suggest that God did not desire to put and end to the dehumanization, discrimination, and other flagrant human rights violations inflicted upon the black community against which MLK's protests occasionally landed him in...duh...JAIL.

Putting people in jail for practicing Christianity openly is just another example of a cowardly, bullying attack of a messenger whose message you do not happen to like...though you offer, as is typical of people of your view, no refutation of Flip's message. (DENIAL is not the same as REFUTATION).

NOTE that this type of oppressive behavior is typical of those who participate, directly or indirectly, in flagrant human rights violations. It takes a village of corrupt officials to operate a death mill of any sort, whether it is an abortion mill, a Nazi-style killing camp such as Auschwitz, or the death-dealing cotton fields/sugar plantations dreaded by slaves.
However brazen these minions of hell may be in their mockery of all that is truly noble, good, humane, just, etc., none of these evil systems of darkness can stand up to light, and all of them must be enforced by cruelty and oppression towards anyone who would dare expose and oppose them.

The City of Birmingham’s insane “Noise ordinances” are just another variation on the underlying theme of those who use their advantages to oppress, kill, and exploit others rather than to empower and truly help them, and that recurring theme can be titled, “Silence is Golden”. Remember the song made popular by Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons back in the early 60’s? It goes,

Oh, don't it hurt deep inside
To see someone do something to her
Oh, don't it pain to see someone cry
Oh, especially when someone is her

Silence is golden, but my eyes still see
Silence is golden, golden
But my eyes still see

Talking is cheap, people follow like sheep
Even though there is nowhere to go
How could she tell, he deceived her so well
Pity, she'll be the last one to know

Silence is golden, but my eyes still see
Silence is golden, golden
But my eyes still see

How many times will she fall for his line
Should I tell her or should I keep cool?
And if I tried, I know she'd say I lied
Mind your business, don't hurt her, you fool

Silence is golden, but my eyes still see
Silence is golden, golden
But my eyes still see
The song most likely refers to a perfidious romantic attachment, but there is not a line, not a thought in it that does not apply in spades to the betrayal of the trust and welfare of every woman who submits to an abortion. If she has been pressured into the treacherous chambers of the abortionist by abandonment of the father of the child, her betrayal is doubled, but the father has betrayed his own masculine responsibility to do everything in his power to protect his mate and offspring from harm, humiliation, danger, degradation, as surely as the abortionist and his staff not only betray her well-being but betray real medicine by misusing their positions to take life instead of preserving it.

“Silence is golden”…the abortion profiteers raise and make mega-bucks silencing the voices of the innocent children they kill in the womb.

“Silence is golden”…they further seek to silence any witnesses of their malpractice. We have seen so many examples of pro-aborts who hypocritally reference prolifers offering legal help to women injured by abortion as “ambulance chasers”; yet we have seen many of those same proaborts hot on the heels of ambulances carrying botched abortion victims, in an effort to persuade the woman to remain silent and not sue…so they can victimize more women with impunity.

“Silence is golden”…Abortuary staff are also notorious for trying to silence the screams of women undergoing abortions, lest those in the waiting rooms hear them and reconsider adding their money and their child’s blood to the abortuary coffers.

“Silence is golden”…Cities like Birmingham (and Berlin of the late 1930’s and early 1940’s) impose fines, and thus get their cut of the bloodmoney, by enacting and enforcing oppressive “noise ordinances” designed to punish, intimidate, and silence the voices of those who speak out to warn the death “doctors’” prospective quarry of their risks, rights, wrongs and alternatives. The slave trade had its own political network, which had as one of their chief aims, the suppression of all anti-slavery speech. All ungodly systems must hide their true nature, for it is abhorrent to reasonable, normal human sensibilities. Birmingham prides itself on being a bastion of “civil rights”, with its museum and park dedicated to the supposed advances of the civil rights movement…Yet it makes itself a farce, rather than a force, to be reckoned with on this very point, for wherever the right to life is denied, all other rights are meaningless. Abortion is a barbaric wrong, not a civil right; yet Birmingham seeks to silence any who dare say so.

If Sgt. Smith and his ilk want to continue this hypocritical, bullying sort of treatment of prolife witnesses, let them trade their blue shirts for brown ones, and find some community where the atrocities they defend are freely chosen by the victims of them…if they can. Otherwise, let them respect the Constitution of the U.S. for granting them the freedoms they enjoy themselves to others...of every size, shape, and developmental stage, lest the time come when he and they shall cry out for mercy themselves, definitely before the judgment seat of God Himself, or before then, and no one listen to them.

Silence isn’t always golden; sometimes it’s just yellow.

Abortion never is not, and has never been, a constitutional right. There is nothing in the constitution that states, or implies that it is OK for someone to murder an innocent, unborn child. Calling somethin what it is not cannot make it that; it only makes you deluded.

Induced abortion is also not health care; in fact, it is not even true abortion in the passive, spontaneous sense of an honest miscarriage, but it is a deliberate, aggressive, premeditated and savage act of violence that takes away ALL the rights of its first victim, the baby, some of the rights of its second victim, the deluded and guilty mother, and corrupts officers such as Smith to trample on the legitimate rights of people who dare to speak out against it.

Read the "silence is golden" post, and find something better to do with your own speech than mock and impugn that of innocent people who would defend your ability to speak if it were in jeopardy by the likes of Derzis and her red-fanged cronies and minions.

The voices silenced in that very accurate post won't be silent forever. Innocent blood cries out before the throne of God for justice. It cries out so loudly that it can drown out the prayers of those whose hands are covered with it due to their active participation in it, directly or indirectly, or their passive acquiescence to the bloodshed.

And everyone of us will stand, one day, before that throne. In the jury will be, if you are guilty and do not repent, all those whose blood was shed by the childkilling cartel known as the abortion industry. Their blood will cry out against you, and you will have no advocate to plead for you. If you repent of your sin, trust in the innocent blood of Christ shed on your behalf, and throw yourself on the mercy of the court NOW, while you have the chance (none of us is guaranteed tomorrow), when you look in the jury box, you will find HIS blood covering that which you needlessly, selfishly and cruelly shed, pleading for your release. Flip has granted you the freedom to express your views here; now you have another choice; repent of the sin you have foolishly and wrongly defended, or be damned; there are no other options. Flip some way besides out yourself, if just for the novelty!

If YOU really value the first amendment as it's authors intended it, you will do all you can to see that more people make it out of the womb alive to enjoy it.
